The Pharmacist I - Supportive Care Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing patient care at City of Hope, a leading institution dedicated to combating cancer, diabetes, and other serious health conditions.

City of Hope is a prominent national healthcare system with a network of clinical care facilities, dedicated to delivering innovative treatments and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
The pharmacist will work collaboratively with the Supportive Care Team to fulfill the objectives of the Integrative Care Service and inpatient Supportive Care Team. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the provision of accurate, reliable, and timely pharmaceutical services.
- Supporting the efforts of healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Demonstrating age-appropriate competence in care delivery.
- Promoting professional practice standards through education and mentorship.
- Utilizing effective delegation and decision-making skills to support patient care.
- Adhering to all professional and regulatory standards.
- Encouraging collaboration and teamwork among healthcare team members.
- Communicating effectively with all stakeholders to meet organizational goals.
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development.
- Utilizing resources efficiently and effectively.
- Participating in performance improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery.
- Exemplifying core organizational values in daily performance.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited Pharmacy School or a school with pending ACPE accreditation.
Certification/Licensure:
Current California Pharmacist License and BLS certification (or within three months of hire). Preferred qualifications include PGY-1 Residency; PGY-2 Residency is highly desirable.
Additional Certification:
Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) is preferred.
