About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Store Operations Director to oversee daily store operations, customer service, and team development at Homestead Gardens, Inc.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of retail management experience, preferably in a garden center or similar environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or Horticulture is preferred.

The salary for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 per year, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Lead the customer service team to deliver exceptional experiences, handle escalated concerns, and drive a customer-first culture.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage store opening/closing, cleanliness, merchandising, and inventory accuracy. Support seasonal resets and ensure floor readiness.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop associates. Lead department huddles, provide feedback, and foster a positive, safe work environment.
  • Administrative Tasks: Ensure associates comply with store policies, best practices, and safety standards. Track and manage KPIs.
