About the Role

Sappi North America is a leading global renewable resource company that uses every part of the tree to make sustainable woodfiber products. As a Manufacturing Execution Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Global MES team responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving MES solutions for all our global production locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and implement Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions for global production locations
  • Support global changes and extensions to existing functionality
  • Collaborate with the global IT team to standardize Sappi's solution landscape for pulp and paper processes
  • Develop technical concepts with a focus on standardizing processes while supporting mill-specific requirements
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of the application development process from initial user discussions to post-go-live support
  • Solid knowledge in databases, specifically Oracle, PL/SQL
  • Experience in programming tools/languages is helpful
  • University-level education in computer science or relevant professional experience
  • Ability to travel to other Sappi locations
