CONSTRUCTION PROJECT SUPERVISOR

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Project Supervisor to oversee and manage a diverse array of industrial construction initiatives from inception to completion. A proficient Construction Project Supervisor should possess a comprehensive understanding of construction practices and methodologies, along with the ability to coordinate a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and exceptional organizational skills. The primary objective will be to guarantee that all projects are completed punctually, in accordance with specifications, and within budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to establish project specifications.
  • Negotiate contracts with external suppliers to secure beneficial agreements.
  • Acquire necessary permits and licenses from relevant authorities.
  • Identify required resources (labor, equipment, and materials) from project initiation to completion, with a focus on budget adherence.
  • Plan all construction activities and schedule key phases to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Procure equipment and materials while monitoring inventory to address shortages promptly.
  • Recruit contractors and staff, assigning responsibilities as needed.
  • Oversee the work of laborers and technicians, providing guidance when necessary.
  • Assess project progress and compile detailed reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and address any issues that arise.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience as a construction project supervisor (minimum of 5 years).
  • Thorough understanding of construction processes, materials, and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
  • Knowledge of quality and health and safety standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Experience with construction/project management software.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • A collaborative team player with leadership qualities.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
