Job Title: Wax Assembler

Join Precision Castparts Corp., a leading manufacturer of complex structural investment castings, airfoil castings, and forged components for aerospace applications.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Wax Assembler to join our team in Carson City, Nevada. As a Wax Assembler, you will be responsible for cleaning, gating, and attaching wax patterns to frames under general supervision. You will follow established production, housekeeping, and safety practices to maintain the quality of the work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect specific part numbers and amounts of wax patterns based on department priorities and instructions.
  • Assemble individual wax patterns into fully assembled wax trees for inspection and processing to the shelling department.
  • Repair parts, break bubbles, fuse cracked areas with hot iron, and reinforce areas with hot wax and/or ceramic sticks.
  • Use measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and meet all production and quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Experience and/or training in wax assembly and pattern making.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential job functions, including lifting up to 35lbs.
