Theater Technician

We are seeking a skilled Theater Technician to support district and non-district events at Lakeville Area Public Schools. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with professional audio, visual, and lighting equipment under the guidance of the Auditorium & Facilities Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate theatrical lighting and sound equipment for live events
• Assist with theater operations, including rigging systems, spotlights, and video projection
• Set up and tear down equipment for events
• Work closely with clients to ensure their technical needs are met
• Provide top-notch customer service, ensuring a smooth and professional event experience
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, troubleshooting equipment as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Interest in learning about theatrical sound, lighting, and A/V equipment
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle dynamic situations
• Prior experience in theater production or live events is a plus but not required
