The ideal candidate will focus on High Risk Cancer Genetics, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care for patients at elevated risk of hereditary cancer syndromes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough medical assessments for patients suspected of having hereditary cancer syndromes.
  • Order and analyze genetic tests to evaluate cancer risk in patients.
  • Create tailored risk management and assessment strategies based on genetic insights and family medical history.
  • Offer genetic counseling and educational resources to patients and their families regarding hereditary cancer risks and prevention strategies.
  • Work in conjunction with various healthcare professionals, including oncologists and genetic counselors, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Engage in research initiatives, including clinical trials and data evaluation, to enhance knowledge in cancer genetics.
  • Keep updated with the latest advancements in cancer genetics research and integrate evidence-based practices into patient care.
  • Participate in mentorship opportunities to develop skills and knowledge in the evolving field of cancer genetics and personalized medicine.
Qualifications:
  • MD/DO in Medicine is required.
  • Possession of an Illinois Medical License or in the process of obtaining one.
  • Controlled Substance/DEA License or in the process of obtaining one.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible.
