Sterile Processing Associate

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Associate to join our team at Nebraska Medicine. As a Sterile Processing Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring patient safety and infection control by decontaminating, reprocessing, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of surgical instruments, sterilizers, and decontamination equipment
- Provide support to Perioperative services staff and serve as a liaison to surgical specialty services
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- High school education or equivalent
- Written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sterile processing experience or surgical technologist training
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Aptitude for electronics troubleshooting
- Basic computer skills
