Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled GPU RN - Behavioral Health Nurse to join our team at Riverview Regional Medical Center. As a member of our Behavioral Health Unit, you will play a critical role in providing compassionate and individualized care to patients with mental health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient progress.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, goals, and preferences.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
• Conduct therapeutic groups and interventions to promote patient engagement and empowerment.
• Document patient information, including medical histories, symptoms, and treatment plans.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Alabama or compact license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Working knowledge of mental health laws and practice standards.
• Experience working in behavioral health settings, preferably in a geriatric psychiatric unit.
