Per Diem Certified Nurse Midwife Opportunity

Northern Light Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our team on a per diem basis in Portland, Maine.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in full-scope midwifery care, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and GYN care. They will also have training and experience in C-section first assist.

The per diem Certified Nurse Midwife will work 24-hour shifts, with weekend coverage being a 48-hour shift. The candidate must be located within 20 minutes of Mercy Hospital during shift coverage.

Northern Light Health is a non-profit hospital sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. We prioritize the needs of those who are often overlooked and strive to provide compassionate and evidence-based care to our patients.

Our team at Northern Light Mercy Midwives is dedicated to providing high-quality care to low- to moderate-risk women. We work collaboratively with our OB/GYN colleagues and have excellent support from Mercy's OB/GYNs.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.

Requirements:

  • Board Certification and eligibility for licensure in Maine
  • At least 5 years of experience in full-scope midwifery care
  • Training and experience in C-section first assist
  • Located within 20 minutes of Mercy Hospital during shift coverage
