Job Title: Camp Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Camp Coordinator to join our team at the Butler County Family YMCA. As a Camp Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, caring, and fun learning environment for our campers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Director in planning, supervising, and implementing the camp program in accordance with the goals and policies of the YMCA.
  • Recruit, train, develop, schedule, and direct assigned staff and volunteers.
  • Supervise assigned grade levels in camp and ensure that all camp groups have weekly lesson plans completed and prepped for each week.
  • Mentor the camp counselor team and ensure the health and safety of all children in the program at all times.
  • Implement emergency procedures as necessary and maintain up-to-date rosters, allergy lists, and medication logs.
  • Support camp staff with behavioral and programming issues and maintain consistent and open verbal communication with parents throughout the Summer Camp program.
  • Implement the YMCA Safety Around Water program and respond to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; required.
  • Minimum age of 18; required.
  • Experience in Education, Sports, Parks and Rec, or a related field.
  • Mature judgement and sound decision-making skills a must.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification required within 30 days of employment.
