Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Windsor Healthcare Communities. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans to ensure the needs of patients are met.
- Assist in the orientation and supervision of nursing personnel, and assume responsibilities of a leadership role as needed.
- Take an active role in direct patient assessment and care, recognizing and identifying symptoms and making decisions quickly in emergencies.
- Supervise and coordinate nursing personnel in providing direct patient care in adherence to State and Federal regulations.
- Formulate individualized nursing care plans utilizing the nursing process, and assess each patient daily to implement changes as needed.
- Assist the physician on rounds, ensuring that pertinent information is communicated and orders are taken correctly.
- Participate in the training and supervision of nursing personnel, utilizing effective leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Act calmly and efficiently in handling emergency situations, and prepare daily assignments of duties, treatments, and miscellaneous tasks.
- Assume responsibility for the identification of potential safety hazards and noncompliance with facility guidelines, and maintain accurate patient care records.
- Attend and participate in resident care meetings, staff meetings, and in-services, and maintain active licensure.
- Dispense medication and perform treatments as requested, and ensure that each patient's attending physician and family or responsible party are promptly notified of any significant change in the patient's health condition.
- Must possess a valid RN license, in good standing, and a high school diploma or higher education.
- Must be able to work well with peers in a congenial work environment, and maintain the utmost compassion and dignity to patients.
- Must be able to work beyond normal working hours, on weekends, and holidays, and be available for on-call status.
- Must adhere to Windsor Healthcare Communities' attendance policies and follow the terms and conditions of employment as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday, and cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately.
- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which include a medical and physical examination.
