Job Title: Operating Room Nurse - Neuro

You will have the ability to work with physicians who are constantly pushing the bounds of possibility forward, conducting groundbreaking research and providing lifesaving, personalized patient care.

This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care that is goal-directed and adapted to the needs of an individual, a family, and/or community during health and illness.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care being provided.
  • Work collaboratively with other health team members in providing a holistic approach to healthcare.
  • Communicate changes to all team members as appropriate.
  • Document all aspects of patient care from admission to discharge according to hospital policies.
  • Provide cost-effective care by proper use of time, supplies, and personnel.
  • Participate in unit staff meetings and contribute to creating a work climate that encourages positive staff morale, motivation, and commitment for all who participate in the care of patients.
  • Assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned by the Clinical Director or designee.
  • Share in leadership responsibilities at various levels by supervising, directing, and teaching other employees as it affects patient care.
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN degree or higher preferred.
  • Current RN Illinois license.
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Trauma background.
  • 1 or more years of surgical scrub experience.

This is a full-time position with a shift of days. The work location is Hyde Park, and the unit/department is CCD-OR (Neuro).
