BAS Healthcare: Locums Psychiatrist Needed for Ongoing Coverage

Quincy, California, offers a picturesque mountain valley setting with four distinct seasons and proximity to outdoor activities.

The opportunity at BAS Healthcare involves providing locum tenens coverage as a Psychiatrist in our not-for-profit rural hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and experience working with adult populations, with the option to also see adolescents and children if desired.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to work 4 days per week (10 hours), with flexible scheduling options available. Initial evaluations typically last over an hour, followed by shorter follow-up appointments (20-30 minutes). Our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system is Cerner, which you will become familiar with during your time with us.

This position requires a California medical license. In return, we offer competitive hourly rates with weekly pay, including malpractice insurance coverage.

In this role, you will split your schedule between two local facilities, enjoying a relaxed pace of practice amidst breathtaking natural scenery.

Estimated Salary: $170-$200 per hour, based on industry standards for similar positions in rural areas of California.
