The care delivered encompasses health maintenance, acute medical care, and chronic disease management, both at the health center and through outreach initiatives, including mobile services.
Qualifications Required
Educational Background
For roles necessitating education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be obtained from an institution accredited by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Requirement: Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Experience Expectations
Preferred: Three to five years of experience as a physician assistant.
Licensure and Certifications
The following licenses, certifications, and registrations are mandatory for this position. Licenses with restrictions will be reviewed to determine their relevance to the role.
Minimum Requirements: Current State of Wisconsin Physician Assistant licensure, certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License. For mobile care: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). For clinic settings: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA at the time of hire. DATA-waiver prescription privilege (DEAX). Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required based on departmental needs.
