Jupiter Power is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Associate to join its dynamic team. As a key member of the financial operations team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial insights and projections to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with various departments to gather inputs and assist in preparing results for annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and long-term strategic planning scenarios.
- Conduct variance analyses against budgets/forecasts and analyze financial performance to identify trends and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Partner with the accounting team during the close process, reviewing departmental general ledgers for accuracy and providing P&L and cash variance explanations.
- Serve as a finance liaison to departments, supporting their initiatives and providing general financial inquiries.
- Evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives, projects, and potential investments.
- Identify opportunities for improvements in planning and reporting by implementing best practices and automation in models and processes.
- Prepare financial reports, presentations, and other management reporting needs for senior management.
- Conduct necessary account and system reconciliations.
- Perform ad hoc business reporting and analysis as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- CFA or CPA certification preferred.
- At least 3 years of related experience.
- Experience developing financial reports and metrics.
- Experience with Sage or similar accounting software.
