Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Texas ENT.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality healthcare services to patients, working under the direction of a physician. This is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional who wants to make a difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine patients, take medical histories, record results, and make preliminary diagnoses or decide on follow-up procedures.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Administer and order diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and blood work, and interpret test results.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures, such as immunizations, injections, suturing, and wound care, and manage infections.
  • Exercise professional judgment regarding consultation with supervising physicians concerning appropriate treatment.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, instruct and counsel patients, and record progress.
  • Prescribe medications to the extent allowable by state guidelines and clinic regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Physician Assistant Program (for PA) or Master's degree in Nursing (for NP).
  • Two years of experience in a clinical setting.
  • State accreditation based on certifying exam.
  • Continued employment requires 100 hours of continuing medical education every two years and passing a recertification examination every six years.
