We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Texas ENT.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide high-quality healthcare services to patients, working under the direction of a physician. This is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional who wants to make a difference in the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Examine patients, take medical histories, record results, and make preliminary diagnoses or decide on follow-up procedures.
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Administer and order diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and blood work, and interpret test results.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, such as immunizations, injections, suturing, and wound care, and manage infections.
- Exercise professional judgment regarding consultation with supervising physicians concerning appropriate treatment.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, instruct and counsel patients, and record progress.
- Prescribe medications to the extent allowable by state guidelines and clinic regulations.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Physician Assistant Program (for PA) or Master's degree in Nursing (for NP).
- Two years of experience in a clinical setting.
- State accreditation based on certifying exam.
- Continued employment requires 100 hours of continuing medical education every two years and passing a recertification examination every six years.
