Psychiatric Travel Nurse Position in Rochester, New York

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Travel Nurse to join our team in Rochester, New York.
Job Responsibilities- Conduct thorough intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans for patients.
- Makes accurate nursing diagnoses of the medical and emotional status of patients and recommends appropriate treatment options.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff to design effective treatment plans for clients.
- Administer and document patient reactions to psychotropic medications and other treatments.
- Arrange further medical attention when necessary.
- Assist patients in understanding their emotional disturbances and accepting the need for treatment.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for staff and patients.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and manage pain effectively.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient treatments, immunizations, and laboratory results.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, typing, and completing progress notes.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and the public by personally responding to requests or making referrals.
- New York State Nursing License.
- BLS Certification (AHA) is required.
- Minimum 2 years experience in nursing.
- Telemetry experience is highly valued.
