Nurse Coordinator for Ventricular Assist Device Patients

We are seeking an experienced registered nurse to work specifically with our ventricular assist device (VAD) patients. The successful candidate will provide outpatient and inpatient management, patient teaching, and staff teaching on LVAD and heart transplant.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to VAD patients in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Teach patients and their families about the care and maintenance of mechanical circulatory devices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve team goals
- Exercise independent judgment within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- RN license issued by the State of California
- BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date
- VAD coordinator experience
- Strong clinical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- BSN
- ACLS and/or ART
- VAD-C certification
- Experience with EPIC/Phoenix
The selected candidate may be hired at the CNIII or CNIV level pending review and approval by the Nurse Executive Council. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Annual Full Pay Range: $123,902 - $173,659 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $83.17
