Job Summary

At Broward Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will provide complex technical support during nursing care of the surgical patient for all specialties under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support during surgical procedures, adhering to hospital and department standards of practice.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse in preparing the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and new technologies.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology or related field.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
