Job Overview
The Appalachian Trail Conservancy seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to support our trail crew program as a Seasonal Base Camp Coordinator. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our base camp, including welcoming and orienting crew volunteers, managing logistics, and providing general administrative support.

About the Role
This is a seasonal position that typically runs from March to August, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be based at our Konnarock Basecamp in Sugar Grove, Virginia, and will be required to work independently with minimal supervision. A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare meals for crew members, ensuring a balanced and nutritious diet
- Manage food and supply purchases, adhering to ATC purchasing procedures
- Maintain base camp facilities, including cleaning, minor repairs, and submitting work orders
- Assist Crew Leaders with vehicle maintenance and other logistical tasks
- Provide administrative support, including financial record-keeping and budget management
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for crew members, including implementing safety protocols and monitoring weather conditions

Requirements
- 2+ seasons of front/backcountry camping or working outdoors
- At least 1 season of trail crew leadership or camp coordination experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other digital tools
- First-Aid and CPR certification (or higher medical certification/license)
