Job Summary:

The Arc Westchester is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Residential Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Residential Behavior Technician, you will play a critical role in implementing behavior-analytic services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities under the close supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement community-based and in-house programming in accordance with the individual's Life Plan, taking into account their needs, preferences, and desires.
  • Act as the liaison for the Behavior Specialist assigned to the program, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Assist the Behavior Specialist in completing functional behavioral assessments and developing person-centered behavioral support plans in assigned programs, under their supervision.
  • Summarize behavioral data, train employees in applied behavior analysis, and implement The Arc Westchester's strategic initiatives related to behavioral services.
  • Provide all services in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED and a valid NYS driver's license are required. One year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred but not necessary.
  • Documentation of certification as a Registered Behavior Technician through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board is required within 90 days of hire.
  • Basic knowledge of applied behavior analysis and basic computer skills, including Word and Excel, are essential.

Compensation:

$18.59 per hour
