Job Title: VPK Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified VPK Teacher to join our team at Discovery Point - Seven Hills & Silverthorn. As a VPK Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our young students.

Responsibilities:

- Plan and implement weekly curricula that address all learning goals
- Provide direction to other staff members in the classroom
- Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
- Promote and participate in all center functions
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and management

Qualifications:

- Must have all VPK Teacher training requirements plus some experience
- Must meet state licensing requirements for education and experience
- Must be able to meet state background check requirements
- Knowledge of early childhood education and curriculum
- Knowledge of child care licensing rules and regulations

Education Requirements:

- High School Diploma or GED
- DCF Transcript showing completion of Part I, Part II, Early Literacy for Children Birth to Three, and all VPK training requirements
- CDA

Experience:

- 1-3 years of teaching experience in VPK
