Quality Assurance Specialist

At Access Laser, we're seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This full-time position involves working with the Quality Team to support the production of laser systems.
Key Responsibilities- CAPA Management:
- Develop and implement a detailed CAPA resolution process
- Act as a first responder for quality-related production issues, identifying problems, recurrences, and trends
- Initiate CAPAs to address identified problems and recurrences in Production, Supply Chain, or Service Departments
- Lead or assist with CAPA investigations, oversee implementation, and validate corrective actions
- Report status and major changes of the CAPA process to the QRB and facilitate critical decision-making
- Supplier Quality Management:
- Engage with suppliers and internal Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure product manufacturability and define qualification strategies
- Address individual and systemic quality issues with suppliers (RTV & SCAR) and maintain regular communication until solutions are implemented
- Conduct visits to key suppliers, plan, and lead supplier quality audits
- Establish a relationship with suppliers to understand their needs and requirements
- Create supply chain quality metrics and KPIs, design monitoring dashboards, and track supplier quality performance
- Participate in new supplier qualification processes
- Quality Improvement Projects:
- Utilize quality tools like Gage R&R studies, process capability studies, SPC, and design of experiments
- Lead or assist with FMEA development and control plans
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist the inspection team in creating internal and supplier inspection plans
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
