Job Summary

Fort Worth Country Day is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our safety and security department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide security and safety services to the campus community through patrols, traffic control, and access control.
  • Project a professional image and provide a sense of security and safety to the campus community.
  • Render basic security services, including responding to emergencies and incidents.
  • Assist with the orderly flow of traffic on and off campus, enforcing traffic and parking rules.
  • Control access to campus buildings and issue parking stickers.
  • Conduct preliminary investigations and gather information to support incident reports.
  • Know and apply the basics of first aid and CPR.
  • Provide information and directions to the campus community, demonstrating courtesy and a working knowledge of the department's emergency procedures.
  • Take proactive steps to prevent injuries and eliminate hazards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, move from a seated position to standing, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to hear and understand speech at normal levels and have visual acuity.
  • Ability to drive a golf cart or school vehicle on school grounds.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in various climates and conditions.
