Discover Classical, a non-commercial, 24-hour classical music station, is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join its Programming/Music Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing music and metadata, ensuring a seamless listening experience for our audience. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated team and contribute to the growth of classical music in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain music database
  • Identify and update missing information from music database
  • Digitize and import music into the library daily
  • Perform basic audio editing to ensure uniform head and tail on audio tracks
  • Assist with light reception duties

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Enter playlist information for subscription and pre-recorded programs using PadLive
  • Maintain the station's social media accounts, including regular posts
  • Assist with marketing projects as needed

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and data uniformity
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience with data entry and/or database management
  • High degree of computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of classical music, including genres, forms, and canonical composers and pieces

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe Audition or other Windows-based audio editing software
  • Familiarity with standard social media platforms
