About the Role

As a Mental Health Technician at Devereux Children's Behavioral Health Center, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a therapeutic rapport with adolescents, assisting and supporting them in developing independent living skills and social skills, and implementing treatment plan goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals you are working with
  • Engage in daily activities that enhance social skill development, such as recreational and social activities
  • Address and redirect inappropriate behavior, and implement positive behavioral interventions
  • Implement treatment plan goals and objectives, and provide support and guidance to individuals as needed

Please note that you must be available to work every other weekend.

Qualifications

We are seeking individuals with a high school diploma and two years of direct care experience, or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credit hours in a human services discipline. You must also be able to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.

Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization.
