The CDL Hydro Excavator Operator is responsible for safely excavating utilities and other underground obstacles using a truck-mounted vacuum and pressurized water. This role requires operating a class B truck with tanker endorsement, maintaining a safe driving record, and communicating effectively with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a class B truck with tanker endorsement
  • Maintain a safe driving record
  • Communicate effectively with customers
  • Know and follow utility markings
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Lift up to 50lbs
  • Be flexible with schedule
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Have knowledge of simple mechanics
  • Be safety-conscious
  • Read a tape measure and perform simple math

Requirements:

  • Class A or B CDL with tanker endorsement
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Maintain a Medical Card

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in utility excavation or a related field
  • Knowledge of Porta Kleen policies and methods
