Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery to join our team at Adventist Health. As a Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery environment.

Job Summary:
  • Provide direct patient care to Labor and Delivery patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Document patient care and outcomes accurately and thoroughly, utilizing electronic medical records.
Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans to address their unique requirements.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosing and timing.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, laboratory results, and other relevant data to inform care decisions.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in unit-based committees and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Minimum one year of Labor and Delivery experience, with a focus on high-risk pregnancies and deliveries.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment, as needed.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with ACLS and NRP certifications preferred.
