Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Signs and Markings Technician Senior to join our team at the City of Round Rock, TX. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will be responsible for managing the sign replacement program, maintaining sign inventory, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of traffic signs, pavement markings, and other related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the sign replacement program, ensuring timely and efficient replacement of signs throughout the city.
  • Maintain accurate records of sign inventory, including location, condition, and maintenance history.
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of traffic signs, pavement markings, and other related infrastructure, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.
  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and safety within the team.
  • Assist in the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of work processes, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Participate in emergency response efforts, utilizing expertise and knowledge to address critical situations.
Requirements
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent, with some college preferred.
  • Two years of construction experience, signs and markings experience, or a closely related field.
  • Signs and markings experience preferred.
  • Possession of I.M.S.A. Signs and Markings Level III Certification, or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Possession of a Class A commercial Texas Driver's License, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
