As a Med Surge Ortho Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating all functions in the unit/department during your designated shift. This position requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, preventative, supportive, and orthopedic nursing care to each patient. In this role, you will triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and prioritize needs continually.

You will also demonstrate the ability to manage and coordinate patient care, maintaining departmental flow and directing staff assignments as needed. Additionally, you will work closely with the Manager and Director on department staffing, including hiring, evaluating, guiding, disciplining, and scheduling staff.
