Logistics Coordinator 2 - Dispatch

Compensation Range - $19.38

Location - Hancock

This role serves as the main point of contact for all Driver inquiries directed to the Transportation Division. The individual in this position orchestrates the most effective transportation solutions for clients. Responsibilities include scheduling and/or dispatching trips to volunteers and agency drivers, as well as entering data into the system.

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:
  • Engage with the public and communicate proficiently with clients and staff.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word.
  • Exemplary internal and external customer service capabilities.
  • Acquire knowledge of all funding sources related to transportation and their specific requirements.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills both internally and externally.
  • Exhibit strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
  • Be a cooperative team member.
  • Familiarity with both Hancock & Washington County.
  • Act as a resource for Agency & Volunteer drivers.
  • Ability to interpret maps.
  • Prior office experience is essential.
  • Comprehend rules and procedures effectively.
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

Experience and Skill Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Dispatch role or a similar capacity.
Education/Skill Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent in skills and experience.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Participant in the FTA Drug and Alcohol Program; must be able to pass random drug and alcohol screenings.
