Position Overview:

The role of the Commercial Kitchen and Refrigeration Preventative Maintenance Apprentice involves traveling to various client locations using a company vehicle to conduct preventative maintenance and assist in the installation of components on commercial kitchen and refrigeration systems. This position requires a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on commercial kitchen and refrigeration systems.
  • Assess the operational safety of kitchen and refrigeration equipment and their components.
  • Maintain communication with clients and the branch office regarding repair status to ensure adherence to schedules and timely updates on any delays.
  • Complete service documentation in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform physical tasks, including bending, reaching, standing, and lifting/carrying items up to 50 lbs, or moving heavier objects with assistance or appropriate tools.
  • Monitor inventory of parts in the service vehicle to ensure necessary supplies are available.
  • Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to meet company standards.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Dependable and capable of working independently.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ownership of standard hand tools relevant to the industry.
  • Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and navigate confined spaces.
  • Mechanically inclined with a strong desire to learn new skills and techniques.
