Critical Care Travel Nurse RN

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Travel Nurse RN to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a travel nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in various locations across the country, taking on new challenges and developing your skills.
This is a 13-week assignment with 48 hours of work per week, requiring a shift of 12 hours, nights. We are looking for candidates with 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
As a Critical Care Travel Nurse RN, your primary responsibilities will include conducting patient assessments, prioritizing data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs, and performing ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician. You will also be responsible for documenting patient findings, providing education and support to patients' families, and ensuring seamless communication with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
- Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
- Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.
- Educates patients on surgical procedures.
- Participates in discharge planning and initiates patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
To succeed in this role, you must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. Lifting up to 20 pounds is expected, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds required. You will work in a fast-paced environment treating patients who may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative.
Requirements:
- BLS certification
- 2 Years of acute care experience
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
A competitive salary is offered for this position, with a pay package based on 12 hour shifts and 48 hours per week. The estimated annual salary for this role is $108,000, based on the location and requirements of the job. We offer a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
