Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labor & Delivery RN to join our team at HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation
  • Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team
  • Analyze the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues
  • Evaluate the obstetrical patient for any situation that may compromise the well-being of mother and fetus
  • Participate in routine delivery as well as planned or emergent Cesarean Sections
  • Act as an advocate for patient safety
  • Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment
  • Educate patients regarding their medications, procedure and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay
Requirements
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, multistate or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required
  • 1 year of RN experience in Labor & Delivery
  • BSN is preferred
  • Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained prior to employment start date

This includes advanced cardiac assessment and treatment. We offer certified women's services. Our hospital has dedicated spaces for adult and pediatric emergency services. We are certified in Advanced Primary Stroke Care. Our hospital is accredited as a Comprehensive Breast Care Center. We are the area's only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation. Other services that we offer include orthopedic care and joint replacement, robotic surgery, cardiac, vascular, and interventional services. We are home to the only Pediatric ER in the community. We have the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in the region.
