Job Title: Certified Nurse Aide

VitalCore Health Strategies, a leading provider of correctional healthcare, is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to join our team. As a Certified Nurse Aide, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nurse Aide will assist physicians and nurses in meeting the healthcare needs of patients. This includes taking vital signs, assisting with PPDs and EKGs, drawing blood, and measuring and recording intake and output. The Certified Nurse Aide will also assist with patient treatments, such as dressing changes, decubitus ulcer care, and tracheostomy care.

Responsibilities:
  • Takes vital signs, height, and weight
  • Assists with PPDs and EKGs
  • Draws blood
  • Measures and records intake and output
  • Assists with patient treatments, such as dressing changes, decubitus ulcer care, and tracheostomy care
  • Adheres to Universal Precaution procedures and established Infection Control procedures
  • Schedules appointments
  • Adheres to safety and security policies and participates in disaster drills
  • Is proficient with CPR and recognizes need to implement
  • Assists in cleaning, sterilizing, and securing of equipment
  • Follows security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled medications
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Certified by professional organization in the state
  • Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements
  • Acute care experience preferred
