Job Description

New England Life Care is seeking an experienced Healthcare Intake Expert to join our team. As an Intake Educator and Trainer, you will play a critical role in educating new hires on the roles and responsibilities of the Intake, Insurance Verification and Medical Records Department. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement effective training programs, ensuring that new employees have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in healthcare provider settings, involved in patient registration and insurance verification.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance plans, both government and commercial, as well as medical terminology. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a healthcare provider's business office setting is required, preferably with experience working in the role of Intake Coordinator at NELC or equivalent environment. We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around $72,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience, plus benefits such as health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and a generous employer-matched 403(b) savings program. Key Responsibilities
  • Educate new hires on the roles and responsibilities of the Intake, Insurance Verification and Medical Records Department.
  • Develop and maintain all training manuals for Intake and MRC.
  • Assist in obtaining access to hospital EMRs for Intake/Insurance staff and maintain a current list of all staff members and their access.
  • Take the initiative to meet internal and external customer needs in a timely and courteous manner; maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.


Requirements
  • Associates Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a healthcare provider's business office setting, involved in the registration of patients, verification of Third-Party Insurance benefits helpful.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working in the role of Intake Coordinator at NELC or equivalent environment.
  • A strong understanding of insurance plans, both government and commercial, as well as medical terminology.
