As part of the TikTok Search Team, you will engage in the development and implementation of advanced machine learning technologies within large-scale systems that handle billions of search queries daily.

Your work will leverage cutting-edge NLP and multi-modal models, significantly enhancing the search experience for a vast user base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance search quality to deliver an optimal experience for TikTok users.
  • Utilize your understanding of product goals alongside modern machine learning and information retrieval methods to elevate search performance.
  • Develop core systems and algorithms, focusing on query understanding, result ranking, query recommendations, and system reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership to refine search strategies, including aspects like query understanding and ranking.
  • Offer mentorship and constructive feedback to team members to foster their professional growth.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science or a related technical field.
  • Strong coding abilities and a solid foundation in algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience in areas such as NLP, ranking systems, search engines, recommender systems, distributed systems, and machine learning.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proven experience as a technical lead or in managing complex projects.
