Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team at Atrium Health's OB/GYN department in Charlotte's South End. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, assist with medical procedures, and maintain accurate medical records.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and Advanced Care Practitioners with patient care, including vital sign checks, medication administration, and documentation.
  • Pre-visit planning and patient intake/rooming procedures.
  • Perform Point of Care testing (POCT) and other diagnostic testing as needed.
  • Monitor inventory and stock medications, narcotics, and emergency medications/equipment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care and test results.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required.
  • Must possess one of the following: completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, Intermediate EMT or Paramedic Program with 3 years prior clinical experience, structured military training, or graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing.
  • Recognized/certified as a CMA or RMA by one of the following National Organizations: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National HealthCareer Association (NHA), National Healthcare Worker's Association (NHCWA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), National Registry of Medical Assistants (NRMA).
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Certification Medical Association.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with possible exposure to communicable diseases. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
