The duty location for this position is in Rockville, MD.

Responsibilities- Develop, plan, implement, and evaluate funding opportunities for the education and training of a wide-range of community-based medical and dental training programs to improve and expand health services for rural and underserved communities.
- Participate in policy development and coordinate sharing of health-related educational or informational material.
- Use in-depth knowledge of the principles and practices of primary care medicine and public health to design, oversee, conduct, and/or participate in projects, studies, surveys, or investigations.
- Identify and analyze public health issues and their impact on primary care policies or programs, and develop strategies for improving the quality of public health programs.
- Perform consultations and analysis of undergraduate and graduate medical education training barriers, identifying the need for and develops modifications or improvements to medical, dental, and public health training programs.
- A Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from a school in the United States or Canada.
- Graduate training in the specialty of the position to be filled, such as Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Psychiatry, Geriatrics, Preventive Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Anesthesiology.
- An active, permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- Current/active board certification or be board eligible by the American Board of Medical Specialties (A.B.M.S.) in at least one of the following primary care disciplines: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Preventive Medicine, Psychiatry, Geriatrics, Emergency Medicine, or Anesthesiology.
