We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Novant Health. Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the proper handling of instruments and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain operating rooms, including setting up and cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
- Provide exceptional patient care, including explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or military training equivalent (68D - Operating Room Specialist) preferred.
- Previous Surgical Technologist experience preferred; certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
