We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team at the American Welding Society. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for welding, assembling, and inspecting mechanical components and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Weld and assemble mechanical components and equipment using various welding techniques and processes.
- Inspect incoming parts and materials to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or vocational training in welding or a related field preferred.
- 5-10+ years of experience as a welder/fabricator, preferably with experience working with stainless steels, high nickel alloys, and associated metals and materials.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and procedures, including gas-metal arc (stick, MIG, TIG), semi-robotic, brazing, and soldering.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to adjust work schedule to accommodate unplanned needs.
