Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team at the American Welding Society. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for welding, assembling, and inspecting mechanical components and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weld and assemble mechanical components and equipment using various welding techniques and processes.
  • Inspect incoming parts and materials to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or vocational training in welding or a related field preferred.
  • 5-10+ years of experience as a welder/fabricator, preferably with experience working with stainless steels, high nickel alloys, and associated metals and materials.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and procedures, including gas-metal arc (stick, MIG, TIG), semi-robotic, brazing, and soldering.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to adjust work schedule to accommodate unplanned needs.
