Nurse Hemodialysis Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse to join our hemodialysis team at Central Maine Medical Center.
About the Role:
As a Hemodialysis RN, you will be responsible for providing individualized direct patient care to patients undergoing dialysis treatments. You will work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional patient experiences, supporting and educating patients and families throughout their treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in decision-making, teaching, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient care outcomes.
- Coordinate patient care and treatments with the care team, including assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Delegate tasks to direct patient care team members.
- Demonstrate knowledge of dialysis treatments and patient care.
- Prioritize tasks during high acuity stations.
- Analyze patient data and document in electronic medical records.
- Adjust or modify treatment plans as indicated by providers.
- Provide education to patients and families.
- Administer medications as prescribed, using barcode scanning and documenting effectiveness.
- Respond to emergency situations.
- Ensure accurate laboratory collection based on orders received.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the state of Maine.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
Salary Range:
$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
Location:
Central Maine Medical Center, located in central Maine.
