Position Overview

The Registered Nurse at Northside Hospital plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients, adhering to physician directives and established protocols, while operating within the parameters set by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver independent nursing care to patients undergoing gastrointestinal and pulmonary endoscopic procedures, both inpatient and outpatient.
  • Ensure compliance with physician orders and established nursing guidelines.
  • Participate in the preparation, execution, and recovery phases of GI procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program and active RN licensure in Georgia without restrictions.
  • A minimum of two years of full-time nursing experience following orientation or residency.
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Additional certifications in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc.) are required.

Preferred:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • National Certification in a Clinical Specialty is advantageous.
  • Other desirable RN characteristics may vary by unit.
