About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to join our Compliance Technology team at Ally Financial. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, coding, reviewing, testing, debugging, documenting, and supporting computer applications and tools consistent with established specifications and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop web applications and APIs using React/Node
  • Maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines
  • Write clean, reusable, scalable, and secure code for deployment
  • Ensure compliance with architecture principles and standards
  • Perform root cause analysis and help solve technical issues
  • Drive continuous improvement through coaching, pair programming, code review processes, and team discussions
  • Work closely with the scrum master and other team members to plan and develop integration components
  • Experience in following change management and incident management processes
  • Break down and estimate technical tasks and recommend implementation approach for the team
  • Identify and unblock technical risks
  • Interact and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Contribute to the successful completion of work on time and within budget
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in software development
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience with application development using Node.js and React.js
  • Knowledge of all phases of software development
  • Strong hands-on experience with REST API, Express.js, React.js/Next.js, data exchange (JSON/XML), CSS/JavaScript, and Responsive UI Design
  • Experience working with AWS Cloud technologies and using DevOps (CI/CD) pipeline in enterprise development environments and tools
  • Familiarity with monitoring/tracing tooling and API debugging tools
  • Typescript experience and frameworks like Tailwind is a plus
  • Experience in writing SQL queries is a plus
  • Knowledge of standard change management tools and processes, code branching/merging/commit strategies, feature branches, and trunk-based development
  • Strong hands-on experience writing clean, quality, and testable applications that support rapid delivery via Continuous Integration, Delivery, and automated deployments
  • Experience working in teams with Agile approaches such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Exposure to working with remote teams
