Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Aid Advisor to join our team at Glendale Career College. As a key member of our financial aid team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that students receive the financial assistance they need to succeed in their academic pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify financial aid applications, forms, and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide entrance and exit counseling to students, ensuring they understand their financial aid options and responsibilities.
  • Answer questions and inquiries from students and parents, offering clear and helpful guidance on financial aid matters.
  • Maintain close working relationships with Admissions and other personnel to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Stay current on all applicable laws and regulations related to financial aid and Title IV.
  • Attend financial aid workshops and conferences to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of government regulations and guidelines relating to financial aid and Title IV.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the public.
  • Ability to manage sensitive, confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule as needed.
