Job Title: Project Engineer

At Vulcan Materials Company, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing construction projects that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion Safety: Ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times, adhering to MSHA and Vulcan standards.
  • Manage Standards: Develop and recommend division-wide design standards and construction standards.
  • Provide Design Services: Develop structural and mechanical general arrangement drawings, including process flow diagrams.
  • Coordinate Engineering Services: Review and coordinate engineering services provided by outside parties and internal designers.
  • Assist with Construction Projects: Assist in securing necessary construction permits, recommend equipment and materials, and review finished work.
  • Manage Projects: Develop cost estimates, schedule work, and monitor project progress.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree in Engineering required, BS Civil Engineer, BS Mechanical Engineer, or BS Structural Engineer preferred.
  • License: PE or EIT license preferred.
  • Functional Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of design specifications, building codes, and equipment utilized within the company's plants.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills.

Salary Range: $128,000 to $150,000 annual salary, with discretionary bonus and equity package. Compensation determined by skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
