Horticultural Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Horticulturist to join our team at GGP Parks LLC. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the beauty and health of our outdoor spaces.

• Conduct daily landscape maintenance tasks, including pruning, weeding, and mulching.
• Monitor and maintain the health of plants, trees, and flowers, including scouting for diseases and pests.
• Operate and maintain equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Train and guide volunteers and temporary assistants as needed.

• Associate's degree in horticulture or 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Valid driver's license and insurability through our insurance carrier.
• Oklahoma pesticide license.

• Bachelor's degree in horticulture or a related field.
• Experience with public parks and/or horticulture operations.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, dig, rake, twist, and use hands.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• May be subject to exposure to excessive noise, extremes in temperature, humidity, or wetness, dust, or chemicals.

• Proficient with Word and Excel and able to adapt to various other computer programs.
