HealthEcareers - Client is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the nursing staff and ensuring the best patient care possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the nursing staff during the shift to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Assist the Director of Nursing in directing, coordinating, and supervising the Nursing Services Department.
- Supervise nursing services for the facility during the shift in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, facility policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Supervise and assist nurses with patients during acute episodes.
- Deal with employee problems in a timely manner and document actions.
- Assume on-call responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school graduate.
- Registered Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing. Current, valid license from North Carolina Board of Nursing and submit proof of license renewal every other year.
- Provide quality-nursing care to patients, follow doctor orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
- CPR certified yearly.
- Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
- Ability to supervise nursing staff, ensuring that work assignments are completed appropriately and timely.
- Read, know, and follow personnel, department, and facility policies and procedures and adhere to local, state, and federal requirements.
- Long Term Care experience preferred.
