Job Overview

Objective:

Under general supervision, the role involves the assembly of trailer pump components, focusing on hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Access work instructions via the Build Book program to gather all necessary components for the scheduled assembly tasks.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials, requesting parts from the Parts Department as needed.
  • Execute the final assembly of units, ensuring all elements such as hoods, electrical components, lights, and decals meet customer specifications.
  • Connect hydraulic lines and fill them with oil in preparation for testing procedures.
  • Conduct tests on assembled components to verify functionality and quality standards.
  • Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations, following safe work practices and procedures.
  • Maintain tools and workspace in optimal condition.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:

  • Engage in repetitive tasks while navigating around, under, and over equipment on the production floor for the majority of the time.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions occasionally.
  • Lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble mechanical equipment parts.
  • Prior experience with heavy machinery is preferred.
  • Formal training beyond high school, such as certification or an associate's degree in automotive repair, is preferred.
  • Understanding of hydraulic, electrical, gas, and diesel systems is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to read blueprints and hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with computer systems for tracking work instructions and labor.
